Heart of Midlothian 4-1 Dunfermline
Completely Unbias Match Report by Liam Kelly at Tynecastle.
The farce which took place at Tynecastle ticket office tonight will not be forgotten quickly; Queing for tickets for 45 minutes has yet again shown that the clubs ticket office has a culture of poor and inept management.
Considering we only got into the ground 5 minutes before half time, this will naturally be a much shorter report than usual.
The fans sitting nearby told us that Nade had scored from a penalty - which of course was good news; not only were we 1-0 up but also it seems the injured Michael Stewart will not be missed from the penalty spot. From what we managed to catch from the first half, and the beggining of the second, Hearts looked very creative. Kingston providing the ammo from the wing, however Bamba at the heart of the Dunfermline defence seemed to be mopping up everything, while Callum Elliott and, after Nade was substituted, Velicska spurned several guilt edged chances.
As the second half progressed, Dunfermline were allowed to come more into the match, and were unlucky not to score with a great free kick by Owen Morrison, which came off the inside of the bar, but managed to stay out. However, Steven Simmons popped up yet again with 5 minutes remaining to score against Hearts. Hearts only had themselves to blame having missed so many good chances.
Into the extra time, Hearts immediatly took the initiative and Berra scored a rare goal after a even rarer good set piece corner by Hearts. This was quickly followed by a brace of accurate finishing from the right hand side of the edge of the box by Callum Elliott. After that it was a formality
