Musselburgh Athletic's website was praised by the 20 supporters who have signed up with its text alert service which helped again for the 3rd time this season, after being given the all clear at around 10am the match was called off at 1pm.
Without this service many supporters would have had a wasted journey and I hope that you had enough time to re-route and get to another game.

RONNIE MCPHERSON
Musselburgh goalkeeper Ronnie McPherson has signed for Linlithogw Rose of the Super League.

The former Scotland Junior Internationalist leaves with the best wishes of all at Musselburgh, after starting over 60 games for the club.

NEW EAST JUNIOR PROGRAMME
An East Region Football Programme dedicated to the Junior Leagues which consists of Super League, Premier League, North, Central & South Divisions. Each Monthly Issue has Results, Fixtures, Goal Scorers, Club Info and featured clubs each month from each league. The Programme is on its third issue and seems to be a success.

BUSES RETURN TO PRINCES STREET
Musselburgh would like to inform supporters travelling by bus to Olivebank Stadium after Sunday the 29th November that all bus services are returning from George Street to Princes Street.
Supporters changing from Train to bus in Edinburgh City Centre should walk to St Andrew Square for Bus services to Musselburgh.

Lochee United are to host a East Region Juniors select for a testimonial match for former player Ross Dorward at Thomson Park on Sunday 6th December with a 2pm kick-off.
From Musselburgh a big congratulations must go to Adam Nelson and Paul Tansey who have been selected to play. I suspect that a few other Musselburgh players may make the next Scotland team if they keep up the good start to the season.
The East Region team will be managed by Scotland Junior manager Keith Burgess with his Assistant Stuart Williamson, and all players will be on trial for a Scotland Juniors game to be played at a later date.

CLUB THANK FANS FOR BACKING
After the clubs Scottish Cup game at Irvine Meadow the club passed on to the website a note to thank the fans for their terriffic backing in Ayrshire.
The website would also like to thank the support especially those who travelled on the supporters bus. I hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as I did and I hope we can continue this way of supporting the team on away days.

Our friends at the Quay are really proud to support Musselburgh Athletic even displaying the cups won by the team last season. Pictured in their main bar area the Brown Cup, Premier league Champions Cup and the St Michaels Cup.

OPEN TOP BUS CELEBRATIONS
CROWDS LINE STREETS DESPITE WEATHER
Musselburgh Athletic were given a fantastic reception by the community as thousands of people braved the rain to honor their local team during the parade.
All the players, management and committee enjoyed the night. As the bus progressed along the route the crowds got bigger, the cheers got louder and hopefully the club and sponsors The Quay gained a few more fans!
The club would like to thank the Quay and Chaplins Disco, for supplying the bus. I would like to thank Charan Gill for taking time out of a busy evening to be interviewed on Radio, also Iain White, Russell Aitken of Black Diamond 107.8fm, the Edinburgh Evening News, The East Lothian Courier and Musselburgh News, Andy Sutherland and all the management and committee for helping publise the event.

BURGH SNAP UP PHOTOGRAPHER
The club are delighted to reveal that Photographer Andrew Sutherland has been secured for this season.
Commenting on the news Andrew told the club website that he is a huge football fan and enjoyed the final 2 games of the season saying that the drama at the end of the Linlithgow game was 'the best five minutes of football I have ever seen'. 'The tension and excitement was great and hopefully I have reflected that in the photos and look forward to covering more of the clubs games this season'.
Andrew will be at Olivebank most weeks, however he is a well sought after photograpgher so work commitments will limit the games he is able to attend We are grateful for his time. Welcome to the club!
